Impact a young life - Become a YouthBuild Mentor.
Can you think of a mentor you've had in your life? Someone whose wisdom, guidance, and support helped you become the person you are today? We believe those people are critical in every person's life, but especially in the lives of the at-risk youth we serve.
Our YouthBuild Program is seeking mentors. Mentors are a key part of the YouthBuild community. They support the learning, development, and life exploration of the students. Mentors become an integral component in the success of youth, both in the program and out.
What is YouthBuild Mentoring?
YouthBuild mentoring connectes adults from the community with YouthBuild students who are working on their diplomas or GEDs while also training for a career and developing leadership and life skills.
YouthBuild mentors provide both general encouragement and specialized support in helping our students achieve their dreams and plan for the future.
YouthBuild Mentors:
- Participate in service projects and other fun group and one-on-one activities and field trips
- Guide youth toward success in life goals
- Receive a wealth of support and training from staff
- Make a difference in youths’ lives
- Commit to a 12-month match of 4 hours a month involvement with youth
- HAVE TONS OF FUN
